Jeff Peevy, AMAM Are you leading the learning movement? Our industry has often focused more on the act of training than on the act of learning. The two are not automatically tied together. I am suggesting we need to be leading a movement to put learning, its meaning and impact on the forefront of our industry's mind. If you are an AMi professional designation holder, we encourage you to be a visible leader in this movement. It starts, at a minimum, by maintaining an active designation status by obtaining six credit hours of AMi-approved education each calendar year (see below for more details). It continues by encouraging those in our industry to learn and grow. Don't be a defender of the status quo. As the Eric Hoffer quote states, "In times of change, learners inherit the earth; while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exist."
