AMI Leadership Conference to Feature
Business Ethics Expert Frank Bucaro
Bedford, Texas, Jan. 28, 2010 — The Automotive Management Institute (AMI) in conjunction with the Automotive Service Association (ASA) will offer a Leadership Conference Tuesday, May 11, 2010, in Washington, D.C. Two three-hour workshops focusing on ethical leadership will be presented by Frank Bucaro, a crusader on the benefits of ethics in today’s world.
Bucaro has been leading his ethics crusade for the past two decades — researching, speaking, training and writing on the topic — and is eager to share his message with automotive service and collision repair professionals. His unique presentations blend the serious subject of ethics with humor and enthusiasm.
Registration for the Leadership Conference is $225 and includes two three-hour workshops, continental breakfast, refreshment breaks, lunch and seminar materials. Each course has been approved for six credits toward the Institute’s Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) designation.
- “Taking the High Road: How to Succeed Ethically When Others Bend the Rules” is a program that features easy-to-understand definitions of ethics, guidelines for tackling difficult decisions, practical examples and a generous amount of humor.
- “Trust Me! Insights into Ethical Leadership” will help participants gain a clearer understanding of ethics, show how ethics is a key ingredient in business and personal success and will provide practical ideas to help with difficult decisions.
“The benefits of good ethics and values lead to professional success and profitability,” said AMI Executive Director Toni Slaton, AAM. “Ethical people develop stronger relationships, better customer service, deeper trust, and the kinds of behaviors and attitudes that lead to success.”
The Leadership Conference is open to all repair professionals and registration information will be available soon. The ASA Capitol Hill Fly-In held in conjunction with the conference is open to ASA members with a separate registration fee of $125. Eligible attendees may select either function or both.
