AMI Goes Green with Attendance CertificatesBedford, Texas, Dec. 2, 2009 — In a move to go green, the Automotive Management Institute (AMI) Certificate of Completion now is accessible from the Institute’s web site, www.amionline.org, for students to download after successfully completing AMI-approved courses. Certificates are located under the “Current Students” section of the AMI web site. Within the "Current Students section," students should click on "Transcripts/Student Profile." A Student ID and password are required to access this area. The Institute will no longer mail the Certificate of Completion to students. "By moving certificates to an electronic format, we’re being more environmentally responsible, plus we’re giving students 24/7 access to their certificates once they complete AMI courses,” said AMI Executive Director Toni Slaton, AAM. Students also can use the AMI web site to check their transcripts and progress toward the Institute’s Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) designation, edit their student profile, view an online calendar, and take an online course or Webinar. AMI was established to answer the demand for continuing education tailored specifically for the business needs of the automotive service industry. The Institute offers the Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) designation, the first business management accreditation exclusively for the automotive service professional. To date, AMI programs have attracted more than 177,000 enrollments throughout North America. AMI is a not-for-profit educational foundation to which tax-deductible contributions can be made. For more information about the Institute, its curriculum, or EXCEL, please contact AMI at (800) 272-7467, ext. 239, or visit the AMI Web site at www.amionline.org.
