AMI Launches Training On Demand Web Site

Bedford, Texas, July 21, 2008 — A new Training On Demand Web site that will feature interactive Webinars, pre-recorded archived classes, DVD-quality video downloads and other training resources has been launched by the Automotive Management Institute (AMI), the leading provider of management education tailored to the automotive service and repair industry.

The new site, www.AMIeducationonline.com, will initially offer monthly Webinars on a variety of topics including sales and marketing, customer service, telephone skills, employee management and more.

Students can register for upcoming live, interactive Webinars or take advantage of previously offered sessions in the on-demand archive. Participants of the 60-minute Webinars will earn two credits toward the Institute’s Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) designation.

“Shop owners and managers should be aware that ‘business as usual’ and minor improvements are not going to set their business apart in the future,” said AMI Board of Trustees Chairman, George Witt, AAM. “In fact, change in the business environment comes faster and faster with each passing year. Businesses that become complacent will quickly find their customers being targeted by more innovative competitors.”

“AMI is committed to improving the automotive service and repair industry through education and training,” said AMI’s Executive Director, Toni Slaton, AAM. “I encourage shop owners and managers to take advantage of this training resource, as well as provide it to their staff as part of their employee development strategy. On-demand training puts industry-specific education and training material at your fingertips any time and any where there is an Internet connection.”

AMI was established to answer the demand for continuing education tailored specifically for the business needs of the automotive service industry. The Institute offers the Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) designation, the first business management accreditation exclusively for the automotive service professional. To date, AMI programs have attracted more than 165,000 enrollments throughout North America. AMI is a not-for-profit educational foundation to which tax-deductible contributions can be made.
