BEDFORD, TEXAS, April 5, 2006 - The Automotive Management Institute (AMI) provided management education to more than 13,000 automotive service professionals in 2005.

For 17 years, AMI has been the leading provider of insightful, practical and comprehensive management education tailored to the automotive service industry. Its curriculum consists of 700-plus courses taught by more than 150 faculty members. The fields of study focus on five areas of business management: marketing and sales, operations and service, management and administration, financial management, and personnel and human resource development.

AMI Board of Trustees Chairman John Francis stated, "I'm pleased AMI has been able to inspire, energize and educate so many automotive service professionals over the last 17 years." AMI Executive Director Toni Slaton added, "Whether you want to improve production and efficiency, retain and energize your employees or learn marketing strategies to grow your business - you'll find the answers in AMI-approved courses. Our goal is to make you and your business more successful."

AMI was established to answer the demand for continuing education tailored specifically for the business needs of the automotive service industry. The Institute offers the Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) designation, the first business management accreditation exclusively for the automotive service professional. To date, AMI programs have attracted more than 132,000 enrollments throughout North America. AMI is a not-for-profit educational foundation to which tax-deductible contributions can be made.
