Scholarships
The Automotive Management Institute (AMI) in conjunction with Automotive Video Incorporated has established the AVI Conference Education Scholarship to award an applicant from the automotive repair industry with a $1,000 scholarship.
The scholarship will be applied toward expenses to attend the 2012 AVI Annual Training Conference at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, Oct. 29 – 30. Expenses include airfare, hotel and registration.
Who should apply for this scholarship?
All management-oriented, service professionals, including those who are not in management but are striving to reach this level, and who meet the following list of qualifications should apply:
- Applicant must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Applicant must have a minimum of two years work experience in the mechanical repair industry.
- Applicant must demonstrate an interest in self-improvement through education and training.
- Applicant must be recommend by the business owner. This does not exclude the business owner from recommending self.
Note: AMI trustees and their employees and the AVI Scholarship selection committee and their employees are not eligible to apply.

- Raise the professional image for yourself, your company and the mechanical repair industry.
How will you be evaluated?
Applicants will be evaluated based on the following:
- Demonstrated interest in management education.
- Demonstrated industry and association involvement.
- Demonstrated management experience.
How do you apply?
Complete and submit the application by Aug. 24, 2012. The application is available as a downloadable PDF or an online form. Scholarship recipient will be notified by AMI on or before Aug. 31, 2012. No cash substitution will be given.
