  For AMI Instructors Policies

The following policies will help instructors become more familiar with the Specialized Degrees, as well as help answer students' questions.

  • The Institute's Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) designation is not a pre-requisite for the Specialized Degrees.
  • When students take a course, they will earn credits toward both the AAM and Specialized Degrees.
  • The Specialized Degrees require students to have two years of mechanical or collision repair work experience.
  • Students may test out of previously attended courses and earn credit toward the Specialized Degrees.
  • Each required course (topic) will earn students one (1) credit.
  • To receive credit, students must complete the required coursework, pass a post-course exam and return the test to AMI with a $20 per test fee.
