Welcome to the Automotive Management Institute's (AMI's) new and innovative "Specialized Designation" program for automotive service professionals. The program is the first of its kind for the automotive aftermarket with 10 new defined curriculum and designations for specific positions in a mechanical and collision repair facility. Students in the program take focused management courses, either self-study or instructor-led, to enhance their skills and become more effective, productive and knowledgeable employees, managers, and shop owners. After successfully completing the required curriculum and passing post-course exams, students receive the new "Specialized Designations" to proudly display, wear and promote.
For our valued members of the AMI faculty, the "Specialized Designation" program offers exciting new teaching and business opportunities. As an instructor, your course material may already meet the requirements or need very little modification to become part of the new program.
AMI instructors who would like their courses approved for the Defined Curriculum and the new Specialized Designatons should follow certain course requirements, policies and submission guidelines. There are two very important requirements for courses in the Defined Curriculum: they must be available to students in both instructor-led and self-study formats, and the courses must include post-course exams.
