How to Communicate Effectively with your Team in an Automotive Repair Facility

Effective communicators tend to be effective leaders. Good communication is critical for the growth and success of your company. For example, have you shared with everyone why your company is better than your competitors? If you haven't why should your employees think your shop is different? Do you require your team members to participate in determining their goals and developing the plans to achieve their goals? If not, why not?

This course is not about how to 'talk and listen'. It is a program which provides you with effective management tools. Team members are different and how you communicate with each one will make a difference. Topics include:

  • How to choose an effective communication style based on your team members' attitudes, experience and abilities.
  • How to share your vision and ideas with your team members in order to get their commitment.
  • How to choose the best time and place to talk to your team members so they get the most benefit from your message.
  • How to identify goals and plans that are necessary to grow your business.
  • How to get your team members to develop their individual goals and plans.
  • How to say what needs to be said when the company goals are not being met.
  • How to give constructive feedback while keeping team members positive and focused.
  • How to get service advisors and technicians to communicate effectively and work together.
  • How to make meetings more interesting and productive.
