Keys to Freedom - Escape from the Tyranny of Business Ownership

This workshop will teach the student how to apply principles that will lead to a greater sense of control of profits and operations. They will learn how to own and operate a profitable repair center without having to be there all the time. The seven keys include:

  • Discovering your passion: You must be passionate about your business.
  • The need for a mission and mission-directed goals: If you don't know where you're going, how will you know if you get there?
  • Building and empowered team: Most owners actually get in the way rather than empowering their employees.
  • Marketing: How your mission and goals together with your team structure must be part of your marketing strategy.
  • Establishing procedures and standards: Focus on processes; you run the system and the system will run the business.
  • Implementation: Getting the plan off paper and taking action on your strategies.
  • Manage for success: Delegate, monitor, measure, adjust, and control the processes. Problems are deviations from established standards; if you don't have standards, you can't have problems.
