Developing Successors and Attracting and Holding Key Employees

This program consists of two parts of one and a half hours each.

The first portion is devoted to the factors which must be considered and successfully handled for family owned businesses to obtain and retain capable, motivated key employees. We will look into such employees' needs and expectations, the factors that motivate high performance, how to win commitment to the company, and what makes them tick. A brief review of possible compensation components will be presented at the conclusion of this segment.

The second half of the program deals with the development of the next generation of owners/managers of the business. We will investigate the knowledge, skills and personal attributes required of the successor(s). Attendees will then determine what the components should be for a successor(s) individual development plan. The program concludes with a determination of next steps to be taken.
