Scholarship Opportunities

AMI is currently accepting scholarship applications for 2009

AMI offers various scholarship opportunities to assist automotive service and collision repair professionals interested in obtaining the organization's Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) designation and broadening their overall professional knowledge of the industry.

Automotive Service and Repair WeekThe winners of the following scholarships will have the opportunity to attend Automotive Service and Repair Week (ASRW). ASRW is ASA's new initiative to co-locate the International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE) and the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) to create an industrywide event that includes both the collision and mechanical segments of the automotive service and repair industry. ASRW will be held Nov. 4-7, 2009, at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Convention Center. For more information, visit ASA's Events Web page.

Scholarship Application Deadline is Aug. 14, 2009

ASA Member Only ScholarshipThe ASA logo indicates an applicant must be an ASA member to be eligible and may apply for the scholarship through the Members Only section of the ASA Web site.

To access the ASA member-only scholarship applications, enter your six-digit ASA member number into the field at the bottom of the page. Once you've accessed ASA's Members Only area, click on "Scholarship Opportunities" on the left menu.

Automotive Video Inc. Scholarship

The Automotive Video Scholarship is awarded to an automotive service professional who displays a desire to improve their business skills through management education. The $1,000 scholarship is applied toward expenses to attend the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) in Las Vegas. Expenses include airfare, hotel and CARS registration. Zurich High Octane Scholarship

The Automotive Management Institute (AMI) in conjunction with Zurich and the Automotive Service Association (ASA) Mechanical Division has established the Zurich High Octane Scholarship to award an applicant from the ASA Mechanical Division with a $1,000 scholarship. The scholarship will be applied toward expenses to attend the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) in Las Vegas. Expenses include airfare, hotel and CARS registration.

Tom B. Babcox Memorial Scholarship

The Tom B. Babcox Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to an automotive service professional who works in an Automotive Service Association (ASA) Mechanical Division member shop and who displays a desire to improve their business skills through management education. The $1,000 scholarship is applied toward expenses to attend the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) in Las Vegas. Expenses include airfare, hotel and CARS registration.

Emil Stanley Merit Award

The Emil Stanley Merit Award is awarded annually to an individual who works in an Automotive Service Association (ASA) Collision Division member shop and who displays a desire to improve their business skills through management education. The $1,000 scholarship is applied toward expenses to attend the International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE) in Las Vegas.

Body Shop Business Magazine Scholarship

The Body Shop Business Magazine Scholarship is awarded annually to an auto body repair professional who works in an Automotive Service Association (ASA) Collision Division member shop and who displays a desire to improve their business skills through management education. The $1,000 scholarship is applied toward expenses to attend the International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE) in Las Vegas.

Richard Cossette/Gale Westerlund Memorial Scholarship

The Richard Cossette/Gale Westerlund Memorial Scholarship is awarded to an auto body repair professionals who work in an Automotive Service Association (ASA) Collision Division member shop and who displays a desire to improve their business skills through management education. The $1,000 scholarship will be applied toward expenses to attend the International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE) in Las Vegas.
